This policy explains how personal information is handled on louiealma.com. In short:
- I only collect what you choose to send me, and use it to reply to you.
- The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking.
- I don't sell personal information or add anyone to a mailing list.
Who I am
louiealma.com is my personal professional website. It is operated by me, Louie Alma, an independent digital solutions consultant based in the United Arab Emirates. I'm responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Information you send me
Contact form. Your name, email address, company (optional), the kind of help you need, and your message. I use them to reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to discuss a possible project.
Professional résumé request. Your name, email address, organisation, position, location, the purpose of your request, and your message. I use them to decide whether to share my professional résumé and to reply to you. The résumé is not available on the website. If I decide to share it, I send it to you personally by email.
Email. If you email me directly, I receive your email address and whatever your message contains.
Both forms are optional. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your message. Downloading the Digital Solutions Profile (PDF) doesn't require any personal information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, the services that deliver it automatically process standard technical information to deliver pages, keep the site secure and prevent abuse. That information includes:
- your IP address;
- browser and device type;
- the page requested;
- the date and time.
To protect the forms from spam, your IP address is also held briefly in the website server's memory, to limit repeated submissions. It is not saved to a database. I don't use technical information to identify or profile visitors.
Cookies and analytics
The website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or social-media scripts. If that changes, I'll update this policy.
Services that support the website
The following providers process information on my behalf to run the website, each under its own privacy policy:
- Formspree delivers form submissions. The website's server sends Formspree the information you entered in the form (not your IP address), and Formspree delivers it to me by email. - Email. Form notifications, and emails you send me, are received and stored by my email service providers.
- Vercel hosts the website and processes form submissions on their way to Formspree. Vercel privacy notice (opens in a new tab)
- Cloudflare provides the domain's DNS, security and delivery network. Cloudflare privacy policy (opens in a new tab)
- Sanity stores the website's content (text, images and the downloadable profile). It doesn't receive form submissions. Sanity privacy policy (opens in a new tab)
These providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Access to these services is limited to authorised accounts.
How long information is kept
I keep enquiries, résumé requests and related correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. Those purposes include replying to you, keeping appropriate records of business correspondence, and meeting applicable legal requirements. After that, I delete the information. The hosting and delivery providers keep technical logs for limited periods under their own policies.
Lawful processing (EU and UK visitors)
Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to your information, I rely on the following lawful bases:
- taking steps you ask for before a possible engagement, such as replying to your enquiry or résumé request;
- my legitimate interests in responding to professional enquiries and operating a secure website.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information I hold about you;
- correct it or ask me to delete it;
- restrict or object to its processing;
- receive a copy of it;
- complain to a data protection authority.
Applicable laws include, for example, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and, for visitors in the EU or UK, the GDPR.

Security
The website is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are handled on the server and are not stored on the website itself, and access to the services above is limited to authorised accounts. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Links to other websites
The website links to my profiles on other platforms (for example Fiverr, Upwork, Behance, Adobe Stock, Pexels and Unsplash) and to client websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave louiealma.com.
Children
This website is intended for professional audiences and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If the way the website handles personal information changes, I'll update this policy and the effective date shown above.
